ClimbingShop.ie is a specialist Irish retailer of climbing and mountaineering equipment. We built a complete eCommerce store with a full product catalogue, secure checkout and an SEO structure designed to compete with UK giants for Irish search traffic.
The challenge
Specialist outdoor gear is dominated by huge UK and EU retailers. A small Irish shop cannot outspend them on ads — it has to out-rank them locally and convert every visitor it gets. The store needed fast category browsing, trustworthy product pages and a checkout that works flawlessly on mobile.
What we did
We structured the catalogue around how climbers actually shop — by discipline and use-case, not by brand — so category pages rank for the searches Irish customers really type.
Product pages combine technical specifications, clear stock information and trust signals (secure payment, Irish delivery) that specialist buyers expect before spending serious money on safety equipment.
The whole store is performance-optimised: compressed images, lean code and caching, because in eCommerce every second of load time measurably cuts conversion.
